Model Description In 2016 Toyota released this a special edition package aimed at buyers interested in putting a bit of luxury and performance into their commute.
Based on the Corolla S Plus, the 2016 Corolla Special Edition shares that car's bulletproof 1.
8-liter four and CVT powertrain but cranks-by maybe a quarter-notch-up the excitement and adds a little exclusivity to boot, with production capped at 8000 units.
Three exclusive exterior paints lead the charge, with buyers given the choice of Absolutely Red, Black Sand Pearl, and Super White.
Exclusive gloss-black 17-inch aluminum wheels (the lowly Corolla S Plus rolls on 16s) sit at all four corners, and a bangin' Special Edition badge is applied below the Corolla wordmark on the trunklid.

As one would expect from any used car there are some very tiny stone chips, dings, and other very minor imperfections around the car, but were too small to show up in photos.

Interior The Black interior of the Toyota is in fantastic condition.
The seats look great with no rips or split seams or excessive wear.
The seat is not overly worn in the typical area on the driver's bolster.
The gauge faces are clean and crisp and the lenses are clear.
The carpet throughout is in also in great condition with no rips or holes.
The dash and console are in great shape with no cracks, fading, or sun damage.
The woodgrain is in good condition overall with some just some minor wear on the piece of wood on the driver's doo panel.
This Toyota has never been smoked in; there are no burns marks and no aroma of cigarettes at all.
The exceptional and clean condition of this original interior is a testament to the meticulous care and attention this Toyota has received throughout its life.
Mechanical This Toyota is in wonderful mechanical condition.
As stated above I have recently put about 100 miles on this car with no problems at all.
The engine starts right away every time, runs great, and idles smooth.
The vehicle drives magnificently and feels great on the road and at highway speeds.
In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves.
Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall.
The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other.
The transmission shifts well throughout the power band.
Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos.
The car is completely stock, has no modification, and it totally unmolested.
