SECURITY OFFICER(UNARMED):
Officers must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Responsibilities to include:
Patrol buildings and ground to prevent fires, vandalism and theft by way of motor vehicle and foot.
To ensure the safety and security of patients, parents, visitors, and employees.
Maintain constant communications with the Command Center and other division personnel by two-way radio.
Ensure that only authorized personnel are admitted onto hospital premises; confront unauthorized persons for questions, routing or detainment appropriate to the circumstance.
Report safety and fire hazards observed on routine patrols and inspections; look for violations of the Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA and Fire Code safety violations.
Officers may be assigned On-Call responsibilities and may be reassigned to other locations and work schedules including weekends and holidays as needed to fulfill mission of department.
Respond to and investigate routine complaints reported by patients, parents, visitors and team members and implement service recovery as appropriate.
File appropriate documentation by the end of the shift.
Conduct follow-up investigations as directed and file appropriate reports by the end of the shift.
Pass on information to others during shift huddles.
Emergency Response to distress calls, panic alarms and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons or combative patients within 3 minutes of activation.
Assist clinical staff with patient restraint; monitor combative or potentially combative patients as directed.
Physically restrain patients as instructed by the appropriate clinical staff members.
Respond to safety emergencies; evaluate the situation and act appropriately with TriHealth policy guidelines.
Serve as a source of authority; constantly maintain high visibility.
Provide help in times of emergency and stress.
Act as liaison and partner with police and fire agencies as needed.
Direct traffic within TriHealth campuses and control parking of all patients, parents, visitors andteam members.
Enforce hospital parking rules and issue parking violations to illegally parked vehicles.
Escort patients, parents, visitors and team members to and from parking areas as needed.
Control access for TriHealth entities and perform all necessary locking and unlocking within the various buildings and grounds.
Enter and maintain current information in all Security logs and forms.
Act as a resource of information for patients, parents, visitors and team members.
Provide information, including directions and parking.
Enforce TriHealth policies and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:
High School Degree or GED; Criminal Justice.
Valid driver's license with no more than 4 driving points recorded on a motor vehicle report.
No prior DUI/DWI convictions within the last five years.
No major moving violations convictions.

Experience:
1-2 years Customer Service Other Private security or police experience or military preferred

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
