IT Systems Analyst

L3 Technologies Cincinnati Electronics is seeking a self-starting, highly motivated IT Systems Analyst to become part of a thriving IT group working with Microsoft SQL, SharePoint, and moving toward Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence reporting. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, troubleshooting and optimizing multiple IT business solutions that are operated across a nation-wide network, along with the following items:
Performs business and IT systems analysis, develops business case justifications and recommendations for action, generates options and service roadmaps, creates cost/benefit analyses for IT initiatives and risk mitigation plans.
Plans, organizes, and executes projects and support activities in the IT Business Solutions team, ensuring the stable and efficient operation of the company's most important business systems.
Proposes technical approaches, the use of certain products and tools, improvements to processes, and automation with workflows.
Maintains an in-depth understanding of the entire report creation process.
Assists end-users with specifying the requirements for creating, modifying, and distributing reports.
Designs, develops, and maintains Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS) reports using Visual Studio.
Maintains and occasionally builds interfaces to the company's new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Quality Assurance Systems (QA), and future Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Applies strong discipline in systems testing.
Provides guidance, direction, and leadership during the design and implementation of applications.
Ensures that IT business services, technical systems, and processes meet customer, company, quality, industry, and regulatory requirements.
Documents standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintains the systems' technical documentation. Creates and maintains IT policies.
Executes project work prioritized according to the IT department's project portfolio. Manages projects within an industry standard framework. Works with Stakeholders and Sponsors to build alignment, get concurrence, ensure execution, bring closure, deliver reporting, and control cost. Creates work breakdown schedules (WBS) and estimations.
Proactively communicates and collaborates with management, peers, and internal customers. Keeps others informed by communicating project status, participating in team meetings, providing presentations, raising concerns, and providing suggestions.
Defines and tracks metrics, e.g. systems up time and service quality days. Collaborates with other IT teams such as Infrastructure and Support to deliver the services end-to-end.
Is responsible for following the proper Change Management policies in the Production environment.
Education
Bachelor of Science degree and 6 years of IT Systems Analyst experience is required.
Microsoft certifications relevant to the job would be a plus.
Experience
Five or more years of report writing experience.
Five or more years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or 2012: SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, stored procedures, and functions.
Three or more years of experience with Data Warehousing, and ability to execute Business Intelligence projects.
Microsoft Access development experience a plus.
IBM Cognos reporting experience a plus.
Familiarity with Service and Application Delivery, as well as Service Level Agreements (SLAs) a plus.
Experience working in Engineering and Manufacturing environments a plus.
ITIL knowledge and experience desired, with ITIL Foundations certification a plus.
Ability and strong interest in working in an environment that is using a Project Management methodology (e.g. PMI), and a Process Improvement methodology (e.g. Lean Six Sigma). PMI PMP or similar certification a plus.
General Skills, Competencies, and Specialized Knowledge
This position requires proficient skills for daily use of multiple Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, Visio, and Project.
Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, is essential.
The ability to work with focus to deliver within tight deadlines, and to multi-task various projects in an organized manner is required.
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting software is a must.
Must be able to work across an organization for alignment of direction and action plans.
Must have the ability to take informed risks in face of uncertainty, and make sound and logical judgments with incomplete information.
Travel Requirements
Must be able to travel out of town up to 5% of the time in support of other locations, or for business meetings.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
