1. Utilizing background in chemistry, provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders regarding Global Bio- Chem products such as amino acids, bio-glycols and snow melt liquid anti-icing/de-icing liquid.
2. Establish Global Bio-Chems reputation as a technical leader in the fields of amino acids for animal feed, bio-glycols made from renewable carbohydrates source, and Snow Melt chloride-free eco-friendly liquid anti-icer/deicer.
3. Ensure regulatory compliance by collaborating with corresponding authorities such as FDA, AAFCO, EPA and PNS.
4. Ensure regulatory compliance and quality control of products as well as provide technical training and application guide for customers.
5. Apply significant knowledge of industry trends and critical skills of research and development to improve new products; communicate specific needs and improvement recommendations to a global multidisciplinary group made of suppliers, value add partners, customers and sales.
6. Develop and maintain expertise for emerging technologies and industry trends in relevant areas that can lead to new innovations. Oversee new product launch/registration/certification.
7. Provide technical training to assist the decision-making on product innovation.
8. Develop and deliver effective training program to improve technical competencies of sales force, manufacturing staff and quality assurance personnel.
9. Provide technical advice/recommendation to sales team including develop tools and program to improve product selection process and boost sales efficiencies.
10. Identify customer/market needs and develop technical brochure/presentation catering the needs.
11. Implement the development of Global Bio-Chems technical capability to support business objectives to identify critical steps, to determine criteria for next phase development and to estimate resources requirements.
12. Provide application support to customers to penetrate new accounts and solidify existing accounts in North America. Participate in product trials/applications, evaluate product performance and offer improvement suggestions.
13. Domestic and International travel required up to 20% of the time.
Minimum Requirements:
A masters degree or foreign equivalent in Organic Chemistry and 2 years of experience in product development.
Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently:
-2 years of experience in product development and technology innovation involving amino acids, glycols, feed additives, or petrochemicals.
-2 years of experience in designs of experiment studies and optimizing manufacturing procedure
-Experience working with amino acid or feed additives.
-Experience working with petrochemical or polymers.
-Liaising with R&D, engineering and sales departments.
-Partnering with sales to provide technical advice/recommendations and developing tools and programs to improve product performance.
-Experience in communicating technical information to customers, including developing technical brochure presentations catering to customers needs.
-Experience in catching emerging technologies and industry trends.
