Powerhouse Factories is seeking a Business Development (BD) Director to lead new client acquisition. This role will report to the Business Development Practice Leader. The candidate will be
responsible
for implementation of the business development plan which includes: prospecting, qualification, presentation development with the goal of closing sales for the agency.
Prospecting
Research and qualify prospective companies/contacts who align w/ PHF's positioning
Establish connections with decision makers resulting in opportunities to pitch new accounts
Able to understand the business and marketing challenges of key prospects and spot ways for PHF to meet those needs
Contribute to developing and maintaining a prospect database
Develop relationships with agency search consultants
Build prospects/contacts from existing clients through agency executives

Pursuits
Advocate knowledge of and support the agency's mission, culture, confidentiality, standards, etc.
Initiate and manage effective relationships with select leads on an ongoing basis
Analyze prospect and brand background information to prepare for pursuit
Manage multiple new business prospect pursuits
Evaluate research and informs new business strategies to solidify PHF's right to win
Work collaboratively with Marketing to create and leverage communications and materials for pursuits
Work with an integrated team for final pitch deliverable
Accountable for RFP and RFI submissions

BD Strategy, Reporting & Training
Accountable for achieving agency new business goals and reporting progress to agency on weekly basis
Assist in recommending and establishing strategic new business marketing plans designed to achieve agency goals and objectives
Ensure PHF is getting maximum value from Anthony Cole training and Mark Trinkle
Participate in Anthony Cole trainings
Accountable for ensuring all agency executives and new hires are well versed in BD process
Seek partnership opportunities to grow agency awareness and opportunities
Empower and give agency leaders the tools to network and ask for introductions

Ideal Qualification and Experience
BS or above in a relevant field, including but not limited to Business, Marketing,
communication
or Sales
Seven or more years of experience in marketing and developing new business strategies, required
Understands the brand/agency relationship
Demonstrates competencies in problem solving & multitasking and qualifying a prospect
Establishes rapport with prospects
Ability to work with and lead a diverse team
Thrives in a goal-oriented environment
Desire and commitment (willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done)
Rejection proof - the ability to move on quickly when faced with a "no"
Some travel required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
