CLICK is currently seeking a Senior Database & BI Administrator for a PERM
position
in Cincinnati, OH. The Senior Database & BI Administrator is responsible for providing technical support for the database and reporting environment including overseeing the development and organization of the databases, creation of data reporting for intelligence, assessment and implementation of new technologies and providing Information Technology with a long-term perspective on the relationship of database & reporting technology.
In addition, as appointed by
manager
, this position may act as a Team Lead. The team lead is primarily responsible for providing leadership to the Database & BI team members. Works closely with the team Manager to monitor work queue and identify areas for process improvement. Provides training/mentoring and development to other team members.
Challenged to work with architecture, application development and operations to help achieve a state-of-the-art environment that meets current and future business objectives.
Trains and develops technical support and applications staff to better utilize on-line processing databases and reporting environment.
Provides and designs tools to assist in the management of the database and transaction processing environment.
Works to provide a working model of our transaction processing environment for capacity assessment and planning.
Develops a methodology for the ongoing assessment of database performance and the identification of problem areas.
Develops a security scheme for the database environment, as well as ensuring a successful recovery design for disaster recovery.
Provides leadership during the development and enhancement of production applications including working with applications, technical support and operations during the design, development and implementation of applications.
Work with the transaction processing area to develop both the physical and the logical database administration functions and assists in the development of our processing database and computing environments.
Work with vendors in evaluating and implementing new technologies.
Responsible for overall planning, installation, maintenance and support of Microsoft SQL Server.
Work with IT Application groups to develop, tune and maintain all existing and future MS SQL Server databases.
Research, document, and implement project/program requirements and specifications.
Run and monitor performance tests on new and existing software for the purposes of correcting mistakes, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Ensures all SQL Server databases are properly backed up, and execute database recoveries as required.
Develop and document all processes and standards and work with other team members to cross train and provide back up and support for all database technologies within the enterprise.
Develop and gain approval for technical roadmaps for SQL Server & BI Reporting future visions moving forward.
Build and Develop intelligence reports for Line of Business requirements including Data Models / Dimension tables.
Work with other IT groups and Line of Business owners to migrate existing SQL Server to the future vision.
Coordinate with network administrators, systems analysts, programmers, and other software engineers to resolve any defects in products or company systems.
Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades for optimal performance of company workstations.
Creates databases using Jack Henry software as requested from all departments within the bank.

Required Experience
7-10 years recent MS SQL Server DBA experience
SQL Database experience required
SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) experience required
Business Objects experience preferred
Oracle Database experience preferred
2-4 college diploma or university degree in software engineering or
computer
science, and/or 7-10 years equivalent work experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
