Strategic HR Inc. is seeking a Production Superintendent for a global client in northern Cincinnati. The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring effective employee coaching and management to keep up with their fast paced multi-shift manufacturing operation. This role demands compliance with environmental policies, systems and processes while maintaining a secure, clean and safe workspace.
Additionally, this position is responsible for:
Ability to apply/lead problem solving process to diagnose, treat and eliminate problems permanently as well as provide immediate containment while a permanent solution is derived
Ensure implementation and evolution of safety procedures
Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution, quality, accounting and planning
Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required to achieve objectives
Conduct performance appraisal for direct reports and ensure it is done for the rest of the production department
Establish individual accountability using coaching and support and performance management process
Resolve personnel problems and complaints for formal grievances when possible, or refer them to higher-level supervisors for resolution
To qualify candidates should be a dependable and self-motivated leader who has:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 3-5 years Manufacturing management experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of SAP preferred
