$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Overview of the teacher role
Our teachers plan and implement classroom lesson plans (we have built-in coaches and supports to help you with this), stay connected with parents, and provide care and learning for each child, based on what each child needs to succeed.
What we need from you:
We've built the beautiful, home-like classrooms. We need teachers who keep the environment clean, safe, and stimulating, using the Constructivist Theory (we're happy to help you learn more about this if you join our classroom).
This might be a given, but our teachers should have a positive nature and be flexible, and know that we work best as a team. We lean into social emotional learning and child-lead play, using positive redirection.
You're as committed to equity, diversity, and inclusivity as we are. You show respect for every child, the people in their lives, and for your team members.
You're also able to keep confidential information about the program, families, children, staff and the agency.

Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements for Preschool Teacher:

Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED, CDA, or in process of obtaining a degree
Prior experience working with young children and the ability to manage classroom through positive redirection, problem solving, setting appropriate limits, and active listening.

While performing the duties of this job, the Teacher is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift objects of up to 20 pounds.
