Job Knowledge Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of glass and glazing projects from inception to completion.
Develop and update project schedules, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring they meet project specifications and quality requirements.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and adherence to safety protocols, design specifications, and quality control measures.
Lead project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders on progress, challenges, and changes in project scope.
Prepare and manage the project budget, including cost forecasting, expense tracking, and invoicing.
Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and clear expectations.
Resolve project-related issues, including design discrepancies, delays, and conflicts among stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and legal requirements.
Direct and supervise the work of project teams, including in-house staff, contractors, and consultants.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, drawings, and reports.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the glass/glazing or facade industry Proven track record of managing all aspects of glass and glazing projects from inception to completion Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and glazing processes Proficiency in project management software (e.
g.
, MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar applications) Excellent organizational, time-management, and leadership skills Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings Experience with budget management and cost control Knowledge of different types of glass and glazing systems, their fabrication and installation processes Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously Familiarity with the procurement of glass and glazing materials and subcontractor services Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment OSHA certification and knowledge of onsite safety practices Willingness to travel to project sites as necessary Strong interpersonal skills for effectively interfacing with clients, team members, and other stakeholders Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Auto Cad Building Codes Construction Management Design Specifications Forecasting Apply to this job.
