Job Summary Paycor's Manager, Billing Operations is responsible for managing the entire invoicing lifecycle.
This role requires oversight and participation in the billing process, leveraging technology to develop scalable and standardized approaches for the billing process, invoice quality management and developing team metrics associated with invoicing quality and performance.
The Billing Operations Manager is also responsible for aligning the day-to-day billing operations including invoicing, quality control, and customer escalation management.
This position supports billing audits identifies control weaknesses and variances and takes necessary action to resolve findings.
The Manager, Billing Operations will collaborate with multiple departments (Client Service, Sales, Product Management and Finance & Accounting) to ensure Paycor's billing integrity and accuracy, reporting to the Sr.
Director, Billing Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Owns the day-to-day billing operations process, leveraging advanced technology to ensure invoice accuracy and collectability Oversees all billing related activities to ensure complete and proper billing for all revenue Analyzes and approves billing activities including but not limited to, billing case management, billing adjustment approval and management, re-pricing existing clients, annual price quality control and provides recommendations to improve the commercial buying experience Provides support to sales organization in the development of price bids and contracts, reviews and approves special deal conditions related to invoicing Manages the Billing team following Paycor's leader guidelines including but not limited to:
Conducts regular one-on-ones with direct reports as it relates to billing case management and service delivery, conducts quarterly performance reviews and ongoing training to support professional development.
Hires and staffs team appropriately with recommendations for both short and long-term staffing models.
Leads, motivates and encourages direct reports to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Partners with Sr.
AR Analyst and Finance Ops to validate concession and billing adjustments identified in operational reporting; captures process improvement feedback from analyst team and integrates with operational process improvement & general team planning.
Manages the month-end close usage upload & invoicing process in accordance with Paycor close protocols, partners with Accounting and FP&A to investigate and eliminate billing issues in a timely manner.
Builds enduring partnerships with key stakeholders across the business including but not limited to Product Management, Enterprise Applications, Customer Success, Sales and Implementation.
Partners with internal teams on client-facing meetings where billing representation is required and partners with Zuora on Paycor's roadmap Works with Pricing team to review new sales promotions and partners with the team to ensure promotions are configured properly in Salesforce, participates in user acceptance testing and post deployment validation Monitors product catalog (PCAT) changes for erroneous charges, partners with Finance team to audit price groups for accurate configuration to strengthen Paycor PCAT governance processes Manages Enterprise IT work orders submitted by the team, leverages case data to help formulate product backlog prioritization with leadership team to ensure invoice quality Other duties as assigned Indicates essential job functions.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or comparable business experience required.

years' of progressive responsibility, relevant leadership and business experience required.
Proven leadership and process management skills; ability to lead and influence the outcomes of others both directly and indirectly.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; flexibility and superior organizational skills required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work effectively with associates and cross-functional business partners at all levels.
Superior analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights, recommendations, and decisions.
Proficient in MS Office, including advanced Excel skills; Salesforce.
com, Snowflake querying, Zuora, and SQL experience a plus.
Experience working with Enterprise Applications teams building business process automation, system consolidation, and value-added functionality SOX compliance experience a plus.

We anticipate the base pay for this position to be between $74,380 - 126,984.
In addition to base pay, Paycor Associates are eligible for either a performance-based annual bonus or commission, depending on their position.
