Electrical Maintenance Technician

As an Electrical Maintenance Tech, you will repair or replace a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, and perform a variety of mechanical and tooling functions within a multiplant facility near downtown Cincinnati.
The Electrical Maintenance Tech will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements:
A 2 year degree or completion of an accredited tradeschool program Ability to drive a forklift General mechanical and electrical aptitude and understanding of mec hanical and electrical equipment.
Willingness and ability to work with equipment on the shop floor as it is being installed.
Understanding of NEC and basic industrial wiring practices Ability to edit or troubleshoot PLC and digital motor drive software Able to sit, stand, reach, kneel, crouch, bend and walk for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds This is a full time direct hire position with benefits.
Work with the tool-room attendant to initiate the purchase of supplies Edit or troubleshoot PLCs and digital motor drives as needed Update or edit mechanical or electrical drawings and schematics Install wires, electrical controls and power panels Assure all machinery and equipment functions properly and continuously look for ways to improve or upgrade existing systems.
Create technical specifications and recommend equipment upgrades Replace equipment that has failed or is nearing probable failure Adhere to all safety standards and wear PPE Recommended Skills Electrical Wirings Hydraulics Machinery Pneumatics Production Equipment Controls Troubleshooting (Problem Solving) Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
