We are seeking a professional Dog Groomer to join out growing team at Pet Wants Plus Grooming! This is a full -time, hourly (plus tips) position with competitive benefits and paid time off.
Guaranteed $18 per hour or 50% grooming commission plus retail commission program.
As part of the Pet Wants Plus Grooming team, you'll be supported with corporate marketing that will drive store traffic and your client list, grooming assistance (bathing, handling.
etc.
) as well as basic grooming supplies such as shampoo, conditioner and cologne provided.
Duties include:
Provide professional grooming services for a variety of pets, including bathing, brushing, haircuts, and nail trimming.
Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process.
Maintain a clean and organized grooming area.
Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests and preferences.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from pet owners.
Assist in retail support if available by providing information about products and services to customers, scheduling appointments, re-stocking inventory, etc.
Be a team player and willing top learn.
Always have pets interest at heart and be willing to love the animals as your own while in the care of the shop.
Compassion and standard of care for animals is of the upmost importance.
Skills:
At least 1 year previous pet grooming experience required.
Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming needs.
Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
