Division Overview:
Crown's Food Division is one of the primary manufacturers of food cans in the world.
Our complete array of food packaging serves a variety of markets, including fruit, vegetables, dairy, fish, meat, ready meals, pet food, infant milk powder and other dry food products.

Travel to our Food manufacturing facilities -candidate needs to be within close proximately to a major airport.
Position Overview:
This key position will support the North American manufacturing operations for the Food Division.
This position will work closely with the manufacturing facilities to implement production and manage both the 3-Piece and 2-Piece steel and aluminum food cans and end processes with respect to the following:
Duties And
Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Director Engineering, the Sr Production Engineer duties would include but not be limited to the following:
Manager all potential aspects of the can making processes in both the 3-Piece and 2-Piece operations with respect to both can making and end making operations Develop job completion schedules and monitor their progress Provide and coordinate appropriate training for plant personnel Mentor and coach technical staff and engineers Coordinate new equipment installation oManager tooling and line changes oFacilitate new product line trials oProvide operational troubleshooting and problem solving oManage equipment design and product line design oCoordinate and take part in manufacturing audits oProvide appropriate customer support Manage and budget project costs
Qualifications:
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
Minimum Requirements BS or MS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 10
years of experience in a manufacturing/process environment Experience in a rigid packaging (preferably steel and/or aluminum) manufacturing environment would be ideal This position requires the ability to manage a project as well as the ability to become involved in a hands-on capacity This position also requires strong computer and design skills as well as a proven track record in managing major projects both individually and in a team environment A certification in Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing would be a plus Also required are effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization Strong skills in all aspects of Microsoft Office are required, as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at one time Travel requirements for this position will be 80-90% Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus Working Conditions Will be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting in a plant environment as well as in an office.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
The noise level is frequently loud.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
