Experience:
Delivery of technical training, ideally to 3rd party in addition to internal.
Preparation of training documentation.
Experience of creating training material from scratch for devices they are not familiar with.
Experience as a Field Engineer Qualifications/Skills:
Apprenticeship, Diploma or equivalent in an engineering subject or similar.
Ability to coach and train others - an understanding of the learning process.
A curiosity to understand how electro-mechanical devices work and the ability to strip, rebuild and test.
Familiar with MS Office Well organized and able to self-manage.
Role Objective To grow and improve TestLink's inhouse training capabilities and resources for use in external and internal settings.
Key Duties Delivery of Training of 3rd party field engineers, both desk training and hands-on training.
Liaise with the customer to ensure their requirements are understood.
Responsible for creating and maintaining all external facing training materials.
presentation, handout, manual, testing and feedback form, others as required.
Responsible for creating and maintaining an appropriate in-house training facility Help to identify items in new technology ATM modules that should be in a van kit or are likely to be replaced regularly.
Assist in editing or creating training material for the TL shop floor for the refurbishment of modules.
Conduct and support in-house training related to ATM operation or maintenance across all TL sites, this will require overseas travel approx.
6 time a year Attend the daily engineering team 0830 toolbox meeting or as requested.
In person or remote/Teams.
Liaise with the customer and TL sales team to determine the technology required to train the customer in.
Agree dates and required facilities and manage the logistics required for any given training requirement.
Deliver the Training, often at the customers premises which will require foreign travel, approx.
4 times per year.
If new technology is required arrange with others at TL for the hardware to be purchased.
(Note that this would then be part of a bigger Engineering Department project to identify spares required and to learn how to refurbish the unit in a production environment).
If required manage and train others who may be temporarily seconded, or equivalent, to supplement a particular training requirement.
If required strip and identify spare parts for the van kit or use in production.
Work with TL Sales to understand the cost to TL of the Training.
Work with the Business units within the Brinks Group, or other 3rd party, Training Manager as required and agreed.
Person Specification Ideally have experience of being a Field Engineer of Wincor/Diebold ATMs with some NCR experience Enjoy trouble shooting and problem solving.
Good at writing succinct, clear processes and other documentation.
Well organized and with some experience of managing others and/or small projects.
Experience of training others with little engineering or knowledge of maintenance externally.
Experience of investigating the operation of a device (ideally an ATM) in order to create the training documentation.
A self-starter, this roll will involve some periods of working away from the office/factory.
Happy to travel to customer sites globally for a week at a time would be typical for a training course, with some expected to be two weeks.
