Job Description:
Hospitality and Membership Manager Reports to:
General Manager Salary is open and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Summary:
The Hospitality and Membership Manager (HMM) is a key support role for the administrative and operative functions of Losantiville Country Club (LCC) is to ensure that every Member & guest of LCC receives distinctive & exceptional service.
This individual teams with the General Manager and all department managers to lead & develop all LCC personnel.
The HMM is responsible for managing all daily Clubhouse services with an explicit focus on the LCC Food and Beverage Operation.
The HMM is a key member of the LCC Executive Team and will foster & demonstrate exceptional teamwork throughout LCC, including Clubhouse, Golf & Pro Shop, Grounds, Building Maintenance and Administration.
This individual will develop, implement & verify standards of operation in accordance with the highest ethical & legal benchmarks designed to attain superlative service and achieve financial goals.
Responsibilities:
Assists with maintaining revenue and cost controls for the Food and Beverage Operation Increase levels of food service quality and enhance overall ambiance of Member dining experiences.
Attends Board of Director meetings and Committee meetings as assigned; ensures integration and coordination of all social events.
Assists with managing the long-range staffing needs of the department.
Assists with managing the overall operation of the Clubhouse.
Works closely with the General Manager to establish, implement & maintain effective employee relations, recruiting & retention in compliance with all Federal, State & local regulations.
Assures that effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff are planned and implemented.
Inspects facilities on regular & extraordinary basis to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance and other standards are consistently met.
Tracks quantity and quality output standards for personnel in all positions within the Department.
Assists in planning and implementing procedures for special club events and banquet functions.
Greets guests and oversees actual service on a routine, random basis.
Addresses member and guest complaints and advises the General Manager on extraordinary incidents.
Maintains appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of all equipment and facilities supervised.
Works with other department heads on special projects assigned by the General Manager and Board of Directors.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates impeccable & professional appearance & demeanor.
Maintains exemplary level of performance of job duties; acts as positive role model for subordinate staff.
Ensures the highest appropriate standards for Food, Beverage, Entertainment & other LCC Member services.
Maintains ongoing communication with the General Manager and Board of Directors to receive & convey any special or extraordinary instructions, and to receive & provide needed information to ensure professional operation of LCC.
Provides direction, written and oral, to subordinates of proper procedure and work habits; meets formally & informally with subordinates to communicate & resolve ongoing & unique opportunities & problems.
Reviews anticipated volume of business, schedules and plans work accordingly; works with Department Heads to schedule, supervise and direct the work of all F&B and Clubhouse staff.
Develops, implements and refines procedures throughout LCC to optimize communication between all staff, and between Members, Directors & staff; promotes cordial & professional relations between Departments; maintains & promotes same with subordinates.
Inspects LCC public and non-public spaces to determine daily readiness; equipment & facilities are adequate to anticipated needs; staff appearance follows LCC standards.
Works with the membership team to schedule and perform guided tours for prospective members about the club's history and amenities.
Works with General Manager to analyze financial statements, manage cash flow and establish controls to safeguard funds.
Review income and costs relative to goals; takes corrective action as necessary.
Demonstrates ability to resolve Member and guest complaints.
Participates in Departmental, Inter-departmental and Club governance meetings as required.
Performs other such duties as may be required by the Board of Directors Communicates comments, suggestions and criticisms of guests and other staff to the General Manager Communicates personal problems affecting job performance to the General Manager Experiential Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or mix of education and experience) in Hospitality, Management, or related fields 2 years in a leadership role directly Managing People and Operations Experience with back-end and front-end point of sale software Hands-on experience with Food and Beverage service, and event management Skills Required:
Word/Excel/Outlook/Power BI Highly organized and punctual Efficient & accurate Strong Customer Service Flexible team player Job Types:
