2 Full-time 5 hours ago Full Job Description Supports Director through guiding and leading department operations.
Oversight of day to day staff activities, responsibility of team scheduling, and managing team performance.
Assumes command and act as Director in their absence.
Provide direct supervision to security officers, lieutenants, and sergeants.
Leads team to successful outcomes and ensures effectiveness.
Responsible for department scheduling, maintaining security coverage throughout network, and supports department operations running smooth.
Responsible for performance management including preparation and administration of performance appraisals.
Interview candidates for openings and make hiring recommendations.
Train, orient, develop, and motivate security staff Investigate complaints made by patients, visitors, and employees that relates to Safety/Security matters.
Conducts/coordinates criminal investigations and personnel background investigations in a professional manner as directed.
Review and evaluate all incident reports to ensure accuracy and completeness and recommend security-related strategies for improvement when deemed appropriate.
In collaboration with shift Lieutenants, identify, schedule, and maintain required developmental training and certifications for security officers.
Responsible for the effective planning and scheduling security for hospital events including direct and indirect oversight for all activities.
Represent department regarding concerns with law enforcement, fire and regulatory agencies.
As needed or required, testify in court.
Lead, assist, and/or coordinate emergency response to drills and actual events including follow-up assessments and developing actions for improvements.
Respond to after-hours calls and situations as needed.
Assist with the revision of department policies and standard operating procedures.
Serve on committees and task forces when requested.
Model and maintain a high standard of professionalism in representing the hospital, including, but not limited to, confidentiality in all aspects of the position's responsibilities and adherence to policies, procedures, ethics, and other established guidelines.
Adhere to professional accountability and accept responsibility for managing situations and problems.
Work cooperatively with team members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of team and hospital network objectives.
Provide a high level of service to customers by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and partnerships.
Perform other related duties assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in related field, or extensive work experience in hospital security or law enforcement.
YEARS OF
Experience:
5 years of related supervision experience, hospital security or law enforcement preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Ability to provide a high-level of supervision, along with excellent service to customers by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and partnerships.
LICENSES REGISTRATIONS &/or CERTIFICATIONS:
Other Credentials Required or Preferred:
Valid driver's license with appropriate endorsements required.
Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) certification preferred.
IAHSS Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor (CHSS) certification preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
