General Description:
Serve as the Human Resources leader providing business partner support to the Commercial Lines Wholesale and Managing General Agent (MGA) businesses.
Responsibilities:
Partner with the Programs and Wholesale Human Resources Officer and legal counsel to ensure company compliance to all federal, state and local laws. Partner with management to resolve employee relations issues. Provide effective coaching. Lead managers through company performance and compensation management cycles. Educate employees and managers on these processes. Partner with leaders to increase employee engagement. Facilitate coordination of company training and development programs. Partner with management on employee satisfaction and employee retention efforts. Coordinate the approval process for all employee compensation adjustments by providing CHRO with appropriate internal and external market analysis and other critical review data. Partner with recruiting team and management to source, identify and interview talent. Manage the offer process and effectively onboarding of new hires. Partner with national wellness team to promote company-wide health initiatives Work with centralized benefits team in administration of employee leaves of absence. Administer workers' compensation claims. Partner with Wholesale leaders to facilitate formal performance and disciplinary actions as needed. Manage employee off-boarding as necessary. Conduct exit interviews. Maintain professional and technical Human Resources knowledge. Provide Human Resources generalist leadership support to other divisions as requested or assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

years relevant HR experience required. Strong understanding of broad HR Practices. College degree preferred, with a concentration in Human Resources or related field. Certification in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred, but not required. Proficient with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products, including Excel. HRIS system experience preferred. Strong project management skills, ability to drive results. Sound ethical and business judgement. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills. Effective partnership with team members at every level of the organization. Effective management of confidential information. Working knowledge of applicable federal and state labor laws. Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include walking, sitting, standing, bending and typing. Analysis of Physical Demands:
Constantly (over 66% of time) work performed requires employees to use repetitive hand motions such as typing, using a keyboard, and sitting at a desk. Frequently (34%-66% of time) work performed requires employees to handle and grasp things, walk on normal surfaces, stand and bend. Occasionally (1%-33% of time) work performed requires employees to drive/travel to other offices have repetitive foot movements, walk on uneven or slippery surfaces to and from work and occasionally reach outward to grab things and bend. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
