Job Description

The Service Marketing Specialist will advance SSG service sales growth objectives through the development of marketing strategy and day-to-day sales activities that communicate the value

Olympus delivers through extended warranty programs to maximize system uptime for customers.

They will help to develop and execute marketing and sales goals and tactics to support this mission and aid in achieving business objectives and financial targets. The Specialist will work as a liaison between Product Marketing, Sales, and Service to develop and promote service products and ensure Olympus grows service sales and remains competitive in this market. This position will also provide marketing support to the department. KEY RESULTS AREAS (2-3 areas to define how we will measure success):
Creation of comprehensive service marketing plan, including strategies for increased service contract sales to new and existing customers. Working with internal stakeholders (Sales and Service) to supply information on suitable product packages, value propositions, customer needs, and competitive information.Increase in service revenue growth and support of global initiative to grow service offerings and awareness.

Job Duties

Develop and execute marketing plans that focus on the advantage of Service and the value provided to the customer.

Build relationships with the sales force and other internal stakeholders to achieve smooth execution.

Ensure stakeholder alignment is received for key Service Marketing initiatives.

Gather customer insights and voice of customers by attending events (when appropriate), visiting customers, and using other means.

Create actionable plans to improve product-contract attachment rates to secure multiyear repeat business and ensure that customers receive maximum product uptime.

Create targeted materials and messaging for the various customer audiences.

Develop a communications plan to touch these audiences and execute it.

Develop nurturing paths for customers who purchase new systems including email and direct follow-up to close sales.

Explore implementation of self-service option for customers wishing to purchase service products online/without direct interaction.

Make calls to customers eligible for contracts/contract extensions to discuss needs and suitable options with the intent of closing sales.

Create training presentations materials and support sales with education on how to demonstrate Service value to customers to increase warranty sales with systems.

Monitor market trends, pricing, competitive activity, and emerging technologies that may impact Service.

Work with Service group to develop and recommend programs, new packages/products, and pricing for Service offerings.

Work with Marketing Manager to support additional Life Science Marketing department efforts, including customer-centric marketing initiatives.

Assist with organization and management of marketing materials and communications.

Support Sales as needed.

Perform related duties or projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED
Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or relevant area of study required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Significant analytical ability and attention to detail required.

Travel may require standing/walking/sitting for prolonged periods. Up to 15-20% domestic travel required.

PREFERRED
Qualifications:

Up to 2 years experience in a marketing, customer service, sales, business development, or other relevant role preferred.

Proven ability to successfully coordinate simultaneous project deliverables and meet required deadlines.

Experience in sales preferred.

Superior time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills needed.

Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience with Adobe Suite (specifically InDesign) is an advantage.

Ability to work well in a fast-paced corporate office environment and meet tight deadlines.

Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management.
