Job Overview

Responsible for control system designs, installs, operations, maintenance, and upgrades.

Essential Functions

Manage all building automation systems designs, installations, operations, maintenance and upgrades campus wide.

Execute system programming, create program flow charts, logic diagrams, controls narrative documents, etc.

Provide technical support, direction and guidance to end users and other trades personnel.

Provide PC/Workstation support for hardware and systems software.

Evaluate cost effective modes of operation.

Direct the work of HVAC staff in the implementation of projects.

Perform point-to-point system checkouts and participate in new and renovated system startups. Responsible for design reviews for control systems on new construction and renovation projects.

Read, understand and interpret technical and construction related documents (drawings, technical manuals and specifications) in order to determine appropriate equipment and materials required and proper methods of repair or installation

Respond to campus emergencies, both during the day and after hours, as needed.

Identify energy savings opportunities and make recommendations to achieve more energy efficient operation.

Minimum Requirements

Required Education

Bachelor s Degree must be in a related field.

Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Trainings/Certifications

Energy Efficiency Certification.

Required Experience

Two (2) years of related experience.
