LABORATORY TECH AIDE - PRN/OPTIONAL, DAY SHIFT

Job DescriptionJob Overview:
The lab tech aide will:
Receive in specimens from pneumatic tube system and centrifuge blood and urine specimens as needed.
Aliquot specimens and prepare for analysis.
Perform waived and moderately complexity testing as defined by CLIA.
Report testing according to established protocols including evaluation of specimen acceptability.
Provide support functions to medical technologist including loading and maintaining instruments, assisting in re-constituting reagents, assisting in the maintenance and repair of clinical laboratory equipment within the scope of training, assessing inventory needs and putting away lab supplies.
Transport specimens from Central Processing Area to each laboratory section.
File specimens once testing is complete, locate any specimens that have add on testing.
Check unfinished work pending report and daily checklist if needed.
Support the Central Processing staff when needed, i.
e.
receiving specimens, answering the telephones, etc.
Follow recommended procedures for universal precautions and safety policies, as established in the Laboratory.
Decontaminate work area daily.
When handling blood or body fluids, follow universal precaution procedures in order to minimize exposure to infectious diseases.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science; Or other life science is preferred Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree Experience Clinical or research laboratory settingJob

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
