Responsibilities include:
Manage risk within the commercial loan portfolio and participate in credit decision-making.
Provide oversight and direction to support staff, ensuring high-quality work in line with bank standards.
Act as a liaison to lending partners and vendors, preparing approval packets and collecting financial statements promptly.
Monitor maturing loans for timely renewal or paid-out processing.
Produce accurate and timely reporting for credit exceptions and identified risks.
Make recommendations on departmental policies, procedures, loan programs, and credit approval.
Supervise individuals in processing, underwriting, closing, and post-closing positions.
Underwrite new and renewing commercial and commercial real estate loan requests of varying complexities.
Assist Relationship Managers in loan requests, reviews, and relationship management.
Spread and analyze financial information, preparing informative loan write-ups with relevant industry ratio analysis.
Recommend deal structures and handle other assignments as required.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business discipline.
Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in banking, finance, or lending, including staff supervision.
Advanced analytic experience with a strong understanding of various commercial lending projects.
Strong business sense and financial acumen.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and solid computer skills.
