Position
Summary:
The Medication Complaince Assistant follows established treatment program policies and procedures to provide continuity of care and adheres to current medical procedures, standards, and practices.
The PTAA monitors and manages the BrightView patient database for medications daily and must approve and process medications in the indicated dosage at the correct intervals for each patient under BrightView's care.
The PTAA is responsible for accurately enrolling patients in Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP) services and notifies other facilities of dual enrollment as appropriate.
Additionally, the PTAA will contact specialty pharmacies to coordinate authorizations and delivery of medications as needed.
The PTAA works closely with the medical team to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local guidelines involving medications prescribed by BrightView providers.
This position relies on solid judgment and attention to detail to plan and accomplish the day-to-day goals.
The ability to perform a variety of tasks at a given time is critical.
Essential Job Duties:
Timely and accurate input of prescriptions, pharmacies, and other patient information into EMR Accurate input of OTP patients into MethodOne and Central Registry Follow up with outside treatment facilities as appropriate when OTP dual enrollment is found Completion of prior authorizations for medications as needed, ensuring accuracy of submission and timely follow-up Effectively manages daily and weekly patient medication prescriptions and drug administration reporting - updates EMR as appropriate Handles calls from pharmacies in efficient professional manner, provides accurate information Responds to patient's requests in timely manner and updates patients after their medication request has been processed Adheres to proposed, adopted, and amended rules and regulations Implements directives from the Lead, Manager, or Director Participates in special projects and/or assignments as requested by the Lead, Manager, or Director Required Education/Degree:
High School Diploma or equivalent Required Certification/License:
