Be a key player in all aspects of development, implementation, standardization and management of RelaDyne's DOT/FMCSA's Compliance and Transportation safety programs.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management.
Support company's Fleet & DOT Compliance strategy and ensures its alignment with overall RelaDyne EHS direction.
Build alignment throughout the organization to consistently implement center-developed DOT Compliance/EHS initiatives against established timelines.
Project Management and implementation of DOT Compliance Department processes.
Ensures the deployment of sound training content that complements risk-based programs and promotes Defensive Driving techniques.
Coach and enables consistent implementation of DOT Compliance practices and methods in conformance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines (e.
g.
, Driver Qualification, Hours of Service, DOT Drug & Alcohol policy, CSA monitoring, etc.
).
Subject Matter Expert and backup DER for drug and alcohol program, with he ability to assist HR and the DER with positives, return-to-duty and follow-up programs.
Manage DACH Clearinghouse violations.
Leverages existing technology, such as Samsara, Idelic, SambaSafety, etc.
, to support regulatory compliance and improve DOT Compliance outcomes.
Supports accurate reporting of leading and lagging metrics that gauge current status, inform on long-term progress, and allow for industry comparisons.
Create standard operating procedures for corporate and operations Provide answers and responses to questions and concerns on DOT regulations, including conducting research, as required.
Review and support internal and external audits and follow-up on corrective actions if necessary.
Review and reconcile roadside inspections with FMCSA data and track corrective actions.
Support EHS team with investigations on accidents and vehicle incidents.
Review accident files contents for accuracy and documentation.
Stay up to date on all state and federal rules, regulations, and legislation in order to promptly interpret them and ensure the company is in full compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a DOT/FMCSA role.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisor role Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with people at all levels of the organization, external customers, and contractors.
Demonstrated organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple projects.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications:
Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Excellent follow-up skills, attention to details and accuracy Advanced knowledge of DOT regulations Advanced knowledge of DOT drug testing regulations, including 49 CFR Parts 49 and 382 Advanced knowledge or Hours of Service and Driver Qualification files Experience with Hazardous Materials preferred, but not required if willing to learn.
Understanding of multiple systems and ability to adapt to change Additional tasks, as assigned.
