The Logistics Support Team Supervisor will supervise the Logistics Support Specialist; specifically providing guidance and facilitation for direct reports. Manage inbound carrier requests (via the phone as well as electronic communiqu ) with a focus on issue resolution, customer satisfaction. In addition, this position will proactively resolve issues as they relate to distribution, collection and verification of TQL's required documentation (contracts, insurance documentation, set-up documentation, BOLs etc.). The Carrier Services Supervisor will be expected to handle escalated service issues, perform various departmental reporting and provide support to the all customers of TQL (both internal /external).
Primary
Responsibilities:
Ensure excellent customer service is provided to TQL's carrier/customer/employee base.
Monitor call flow, both inbound and outbound to ensure the department is in accordance with established guidelines and when needed instruct team members to re-direct their efforts in order to better meet the needs of the business as well as the service level commitments for the shift.
Provide support and guidance to team members as well as other shifts to help support departments metrics.
Conduct performance reviews for all direct reports, with help and support from Carrier Services Manager.
Handle escalated service issues and forward those issues to the Carrier Services Manager when needed.
Serve as the point of contact for Sales teams with the focus of collaboration with LAEs, carriers and customers to perform and support the functions of carrier services as related to the shift.
Collaborate with Logistics Account Executives (LAEs) and carriers to perform new carrier set-up by obtaining all the necessary information. Ensure all carrier packet information including insurance is complete and updated within the Load Manager System in an accurate and timely manner.
Set-up and provide training to carrier base via website and end user call in support.
Support the Accounting Department by resolving carriers' questions surrounding payments and assisting with the resolution of those issues when needed.
Demonstrate the qualities needed to be a leader via courtesy and professionalism while servicing the needs of our customers (internal/external).
Provide insight on how to better improve the processes and reduce transaction costs.
Continuously maintain and update the carrier maintenance database in the Load Program with up-to-date, accurate information (insurance, contract, addresses, phones, emails, etc).
Verify carrier's licensing and authority status, and ensure that the carrier does not have an unsatisfactory rating with the Department of Transportation.
Perform various departmental tasks as assigned by the Carrier Services Manager.
