Overview
Operators haul general freight in between ports, rail yards, and customer locations. These regional loads are within a 200-700 mile radius of the reporting terminal. Hazmat loads are possible, but not required. Loads are mostly no-touch, drop and hook or live load/unload. Most loads are single stop. Operators work Monday-Friday with Saturdays only if needed, averaging 40-50 hours per week. Operators average 2,500-3,500 miles per week.
