Job Description
Answers a variety of general patron questions.
Assists patrons in searching for requested holds materials.
Uses library automated circulation system to circulate materials to library users including checking materials in and out, renewing materials for patrons, registering borrowers, and collecting fines and fees.
Performs simple reference work and item searches in catalog, as needed.
Refers patrons to librarian for professional assistance.
Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement of this position.
Required Skills
Strong customer service skills.
Good typing skills and ability to make changes accurately.
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including building and enhancing diverse relationships.
